Floor Heating

A history & detailed description

Radiant Heating

Based on the principle of the warm heat from the sun, radiant heat is a sustainable healthy heat that is absorbed. Radiant heat is not prone to losing heat and does not overheat any surface. With the use of radiant heat as a primary heating source, temperature levels are on an average of 5.6% lower than any other form of heating. That means, for every degree you lower your thermostat, you can save 5% off your current heating bill. That’s a 25-30% annual savings!

Radiant Floor Heating systems have been an affordable source of luxury for many years and will continue to be for many years more. There is little that can compare to the feeling of a warm floor under your feet on a cold morning or those long frozen winter nights.

Today, floor-heating systems can be used to heat beneath any surface in your home, be it tile or stone to hardwood, carpet, or bamboo, there is always a radiant solution.

At WarmlyYours, our electric floor heating systems are designed for installation along with any type of floor covering material; this versatility makes them perfect for every room in the home – from the bathroom and kitchen to the basement.

Why Electric?

There are a multitude of reasons why our business at WarmlyYours is based around our electric floor heating systems and many reasons more why electric floor heating may be the most beneficial choice for you.

Electric floor heating systems, such as ours, generate an even heat throughout your room and home and will not disturb dust – reducing noise levels, dry air, and possible allergic reactions.

The sheer ease of installation, along with the more attractive cost and non-existent maintenance fees make electric floor heating systems a natural choice over its water-based, or hydronic, counterparts in most cases.

The time it takes to heat the floor and room is also a reason why people may choose electric. Electric heating systems are placed above the sub-floor, just under the flooring material so that the heat can rise, usually within 30 to 60 minutes, this compares favorably to water-based alternatives which are often placed 1.5" or 2" into a cement slab and can take up to 7 hours to heat up when they are first turned ON. Because of this, many people simply leave their water-based systems ON for months at a time, which consumes energy over a far longer period. This coupled with the thermostats that allow you to preset ON-OFF cycles to provide heat only when and where you need it makes electric systems the more energy efficient.
