Snow Melting Controls
WarmlyYours offers 4 different options to control your snow melting system. Each of the below options also requires at least one relay panel and a snow melting plaque (SMP). Our snow melting experts can help you choose the option that is best suited for your project. All snow melting controls are backed by a 2-year limited warranty.
Premium-Aerial Control Option - The premium control has an adjustable dial on the front cover which provides the option of setting the slab temperature up to 90˚ F. This feature limits how hot the slab will get, and is particularly beneficial when using the WHCA or WHMA constant watt snow melting cables and mats in asphalt driveways. The control works in conjunction with a slab temperature sensor and an aerial mounted snow sensor (AIR-SS). The SCP-120 panel has a hold-on timer for user adjustment allowing the user to keep the system on for up to 10 additional hours, after snowfall has stopped. An optional RCO unit may be added to manually override the control panel from a remote location. This control option is ideally suited for pavers.
Economy-Slab Control Option - The economy control option allows the owner to use a slab mounted snow sensor (SLAB-SS) to monitor conditions on the slab surface, which is generally the first place snow will accumulate. With its digital control interface and cost effective sensor, this control option will be hard to beat for concrete slab installations. The SCE-120 may control up to 2 different SLAB-SS sensors.
Manual Timer Control Option - The manual dial timer control (SCM-120) allows the user to choose when the snow melting system is operational. This option requires the owner be present in order to activate the system making it ideal for users that are retired or self-employed. The user may adjust the activation time up to 12 hours. The timer will then automatically shut the system down after the allotted time.
Value Control Option - The value control (SCV-120) is the most cost effective solution for automatic operation of a snow melting system. This easy to install aerial mounted control is ideal for smaller projects. Snow melting applications drawing under 16 amps of current with this control do not require the use of a relay panel.
