You know when you get up the motivation to dive into a project and you just start rolling, but then you’re missing a part or a tool and have to stop everything to go to the store? So frustrating! Maybe just as frustrating is when you think you have the right part, but you don’t! Don’t let your project get derailed. Start it off right with one of four new Installation Accessory Kits and two new Electrical Rough-in Kits from WarmlyYours Radiant Heating. Both new product lines are designed to eliminate that last second “Whoops!” or trip to the store.
Installation Accessory Kits offer all the necessary tools to install a TempZone™ floor-heating system, such as trowels, floats and a kneeler board, while the Electrical Rough-in Kits include the ideal-sized box as well as other necessary items for safely and properly installing a floor-heating thermostat.
“When customers make a purchase with WarmlyYours, we want to make sure they have everything they need to start their project, because nobody likes having to run out to the store before they can begin their work,” said WarmlyYours President and Owner Julia Billen. “By hosting all of the tools and floor-heating products in the same place — on www.warmlyyours.com — we’re delivering an added level of convenience to our customers.”
The Installation Accessory Kits
Available in four options — Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum — each kit targets the various needs of trade professionals and do-it-yourselfers for different types of installations:
• The Basic Installation Kit includes a margin trowel and 3/8-inch notched trowel for spreading thinset over the heating element and back-buttering each tile for one-step installations.
• The Silver Installation Kit is comprised of four tools, including an epoxy grout float, for one-step installations that include grouting the tile.
• The Gold Installation Kit features six tools for two-step installations that do not require underlayment under the heating element.
• The Platinum Installation Kit includes seven tools for two-step installations on a slab that require an underlayment under the heating element.
Each kit offers a variation on these seven tools: a 3/8-inch notched trowel; 1/8-inch V-notch trowel; dense rubber float; epoxy grout float; margin trowel; finishing trowel; and kneeler board. These tools also are available for purchase separately for those who already own some of these tools.
The Electrical Rough-in Kits
These kits are available in two versions: one with conduit and one without conduit. The eight-piece kit with conduit contains everything needed to install and connect a thermostat with an electric radiant heating system in accordance with the National Electric Code, including a dual gang box, a single gang mud ring, conduit, a cable protector and more.
The four-piece kit without conduit was developed for projects that don’t need conduit for the low-voltage sensor wire or the power leads, according to the local electrical code. Therefore, it includes everything needed for a professional thermostat installation without the conduit and related parts.
Both kits feature a 4- by 4-inch dual gang box that allows air to circulate around the control. This keeps the thermostat from overheating, thereby prolonging its lifespan. WarmlyYours experts estimate that thermostats installed in a dual gang box last significantly longer than those installed in a 2- by 3-inch box.
By offering more space for the cold lead connections, the dual gang box in these kits also makes it simpler to wire multiple floor-heating rolls or cables within the same box. This helps mitigate the possibility of wires touching each other when they shouldn’t, which can cause shorts.
If you’re wondering what to do if you already own several of the pieces, you’re in luck. You can still complete the “kit” yourself by ordering any parts you don’t have individually. Every item included in both kits is available for purchase separately.
