Every Lava® comes with a programmable thermostat, featuring a digital display that indicates the exact temperature, an auto and manual setting for adjusting your heating comfort level, and allows you to program up to 4 setting changes for each day of the week.

It self-learns! The SmartStat™ has an Early-Start mode. It will self-learn at what time it needs to start heating the floor to get you the floor temperature you want at the time you programmed it for.

It remembers! The SmartStat™ has a battery backup for power failure. The battery can keep up the time for a power loss of up to 2 hours. An EEPROM also keeps up the programs in memory for several years so a power failure doesn't affect them. If you have a power loss for more than 2 hours and the thermostat was running in the automatic mode, the time will reset to 0:00 o'clock and the program that is the nearest from that time will be reactivated and run. If your SmartStat™ was set in the manual or in the vacation mode, it will continue to keep up the temperature that it was set to before the power failure.

It saves energy! As it begins to increase the floor temperature, it will check its progress every 15 minutes but only use the kilowatt-minutes that you need. The SmartStat™ display will show you 1-to-5 heating flames, indicating that for the next 15-minutes it will energize the floor 20%-to-100% of the time. After it reaches the floor temperature that you requested, the in-floor sensor will cycle the system on-&-off and continuously adjust, SAVE energy and only use the kilowatt-hour that you need.

"Just got it installed a week ago. I like the new LCD display. It's clean, clear and easy to read. Programming is a snap as well as setting the program on/off time and temps. One concern I have is with the separate doors that cover the controls. I'm concerned they will easily get broken if not closed tightly or if accidentally are brushed against while walking by. Other than that, I'm looking forward to warm tile floors this winter. "

"The first thermostat that was sent with my original order proved to be defective. After testing on my own for two days, I fiinally called the Warmly Yours Service Rep. I could have saved a lot of time contacting them first. The Customer Service Rep was very profesional and helpful. It took about 20 miniutes to run all of the tests. It was evedent that the thrmostat was defective. A new themostat was sent to me and insatlled. It works fine. Easy to program, good instructions and support. I don't have a problem with it."

You recommend using a double box with a mud ring but the thermostat will not fit into the mud ring! There is a step in the housing at the bottom that prevents it from going in all the way. "

The electricians that install them don't make the change, so it requires taking apart and making the change, Seems most people in the US would want Fahrenheit settings, why not have them sent out with this setting?"

"Product works great once we got it up and running, but it would have been nice to have been informed when we purchased it that due to the area we needed to cover, it required more electricity than the standard amount. Once we figured out why the circuit breaker kept flipping, we had to get an electrician in to do some work that really increased the cost for us. It would be beneficial for customers to know that if they purchase enough product to cover a large area they need a heavy enough electrical supply over the standard household to supply the use. It might alter their plans a little."

"I installed this product (TH115-AF-120GA) as well as the heating pads myself. I had a couple of questions with the wording of the installation instructions that opened up interpretation issues, but the 24/7 technical support were wonderful to work with and answered all my questions. The control works well at maintaining room temperature the only improvement I would make would be to have an air temp display option added when the unit is in either floor (F) or Air Floor Mode (AF). Currently the only way to show air temp is to disconnect the floor sensor probe and enable AIR mode (A) which effects the efficiently of the unit. Note: Make sure that when installing the system you install the floor sensor probe under the pad otherwise the before mentioned functionally will be limited to AIR mode (A) only. "

"I ordered the Smartstat with my radiant floor mats. The unit works great. My contractor/electrician found it easy to install and was quite impressed with the whole system. The only complaint he had was the temperature sensor was only mentioned in the step by step thermostat installation instructions. By the time he read it the carpet had already been installed and we could no longer attach the sensor. The ambient heat method works perfectly well however so no harm done."
