WarmlyYours offers both automatic and manual snow melting sensor controls. For homeowners who want complete control over when their snow melting systems are activated, manual controls are the best option. The system you use will depend on the size of your driveway heating system, as the controls will need to reach the entire system. If snow is in the forecast, you can set up the timer and wait for the system to do its job—the snow or ice sensor will activate the system within the time frame, but only if moisture is detected.
The manual system incorporates a degree of automation with the timer while maintaining user control by selecting when the system is to be activated and the duration of system use. The manual dial timer control (SCM-120) allows the user to choose when the snow melting system is operational. This option requires the owner be present in order to activate the system making it ideal for users that are retired or self-employed. The user may adjust the activation time up to 12 hours. The timer will then automatically shut the system down after the allotted time.
Manual Timer Control features:
- Reliable manual control
- Timer adjustable up to 12 hours
- Useable with snow melting, slab heat or roof and gutter deicing
