Seemed to go down as planned, I altered the lay down a bit but having done before I was not too worried. Now operating and need to program thermostat- a challenge for me. One interesting thing to consider, our tile guy is hearing impaired, hence there was no way for him to monitor your alarm during install of self leveling cement. You might want to consider a red and green light on the alarm. Low cost and easy to understand by all. Will use product without much hesitation in future. Joe

Item Reviewed:So far we are impressed! We installed this Envron Flex Roll in an over-sized bathroom/walk in closet in our cabin in Northern Wisconsin. We haven't weathered a full winter with it yet, but we've experienced an early Fall and have several weekend long opportunities to try it out with nighttime temperatures dropping into the mid-20's (F). I have to say we absolutely love this floor. It is installed over 1/4" cork under-layment with a floating wood (not laminate) floor on top of it. Every time we walk in that room we are reminded that we should have put this product throughout the entire upper level of the cabin as well as in several locations in our main home. It's a wonderful feeling to have that warmth under your feet. I guess the real reminder occurs when you leave that room, entering the larger bedroom which has the same flooring (unheated). It's pretty close to having me take the unheated portion of the floor back up, install the WarmlyYours floor and put it back down. (Don't laugh... even though it's a 500 sq ft bedroom I just might do that as the floor floats and it could be done in a long weekend.) All in all... as I mentioned above... with the short time we've had this floor... we love it and would do it again in a heartbeat! -A Satisfied Customer,
Item Reviewed:The flex roll was the easiest to install, just rolled it out, then I used hot glue to secure it to the concrete sub floor. The measurements were right on the money - just need to cut and turn, glue and go.
Item Reviewed:The MAT was very easy to install - the directions were straightforward. My electrician had installed this product in the past, and the customers spoke highly of its efficiency. I can not rate how well it works at my home, as it if far from the weather needed to test it!
Item Reviewed:Great product
Item Reviewed:Jennifer Melus was great to work with. We received the custom mats which fit the space nicely. Had no problem installing them. System appears to be working, but will have to wait for cold weather to see just how well! :)
Item Reviewed:Installed very well
Item Reviewed:The replacement component was so easy to install. Wiring connections were clear and easy. It’s working so well right now. Thanks! That warm tile floor is the best, even on summer mornings.
Item Reviewed:Great product, easy to install and user friendly. 24 hour tech support was very helpful as was the sales staff.
Item Reviewed:Amazingly comforting to step onto a warm floor when barefooted in the night [or day]. We are pleased with our TempZone floor heater. Good quality product and installation assistance and directions were helpful. Glad we made this decision!
Item Reviewed:The whole system I purchased from you is terrific and solved my problem of an ice-cold floor perfectly!
Item Reviewed:The mat was really easy to install. However I ordered extra temperature probes. It wasn't obvious to me that the temp probes weren't built into the mats. It was a near disaster until my electrician pointed it out. We worked it out, but I would recommend that WarmlyYours makes this part more obvious for the DIYer. Otherwise it was a snap! The floors are working beautifully! We love them! I loved how quickly WarmlyYours provided the schematics for the the floors we were planning. The turn around time was less than a day. I would definitely do this again!
Thank you, Luanne, for taking the time to help us improve as a floor heating provider. You're absolutely right and we will now be including a sticker on our heating elements that makes it clear that the floor sensor isn't a part of the heating element. It's feedback like yours that really makes us better as a company, so thank you.
I'm very pleased with the performance of this system. It keeps the walkways of the patio clear of snow and ice without requiring any intervention on my part. There are a couple of "tricky" aspects to installing it under interlocking bricks. Keeping it flat while adding 1" of screening on top requires something to hold the mesh down due to the wire being fairly thick and having been rolled up in shipping. Changing heights (step downs, stairs) requires planning and access through retaining walls, etc. such that installing the wire may need to be done concurrently to the stone work being done. Last point to consider is that because the heating wires keep the area around them warmer than the rest of the patio there is a differential of frost heaving between the unheated and heated part of the patio. In my case what happened is the ground froze long before any snow or freezing rain fell, so the first time the system came on, the moisture in the lime screening under the pavers melted and this caused a localized drop in the screenings causing the pavers to be left suspended in the air. Two things to mention about what this meant. The pavers were not in direct contact with the heating wires so it appeared that the system wasn't working. to fix this issue, I walked on the heated area and the pavers dropped down to make contact with the screenings and the system then started to work as expected. The dropped pavers (1/8"~3/16") do create a visible line on the patio over the winter but in spring, it evens out again. I say all this not as criticism but rather to inform potential buyers what to expect so there are fewer unwanted surprises. I am extremely happy with the system and resulting clear paths that allow easy access to the BBQ, spa and bird feeders in the winter. Highly recommend the "practical indulgence" of installing a system like this.
Thank you for your feedback. We're happy that the system is working well for you.
