Operating Cost Per Hour

Cost Per Hour Explanation
The operational cost for this electric underfloor heating system is a key factor in its appeal, demonstrating the system's energy efficiency and value over time. With a total wattage of 982 W, the system's power consumption is less than 1 kilowatt (kW). The operating cost per hour is calculated by converting the wattage to kilowatts (982 W = 0.982 kW) and multiplying it by the local electricity rate in Marietta, GA. Based on an average residential electricity rate of approximately $0.14 per kilowatt-hour, this results in an hourly cost of about $0.04. It's important to note that this cost reflects the system running at its maximum capacity.

Project Information:

As seen on HGTV's Rock the Block, Mike Holmes & Alison Victoria won the Master Bathroom episode which featured our TempZone Cable floor heating system throughout.

The core of the system is the TempZone™ 3.7-Watt Floor Heating Cable. This heating cable is designed for efficient and reliable warmth. The system also includes an nSpire Touch Programmable Thermostat, which allows the user to easily control and schedule the radiant heating, ensuring optimal thermal comfort and energy savings.

Installation Method: The heating cable was installed at a spacing of 3.75 inches, suitable for the tile, marble, or stone floor covering. A Prodeso Membrane Roll was also used, which serves as a decoupling membrane and provides a quick installation surface for the cable.
