Just as advertised!

We have only had the chance to use it during the last storm~not complaining about that at all. The heated sidewalk worked just as it had been represented. Melted the snow enough to make it easy to remove & when it froze later, turning the heat on for a few hours took care of it. Very happy with this purchase.

Problem finding a breaker for this system!

Having difficulty finding the appropriate beaker to run this system. Tech support at WarmlyYours says one thing and the supply house where you need to purchase the breaker says another (not available at local Home Depot or Menards). It would be nice if there were a part number, a suggested list of preferred vendors and an up front price range before making this purchase. The prices quoted for this breaker were between $200-$700 (for one breaker)...the entire sidewalk heating system was $1,000. Still cannot locate to correct breaker! Frustrating...

Response from WarmlyYours:

Paul, We are sorry to hear that you are not able to locate the correct breaker for your installation. The GFEP breaker type for outdoor heating is dictated by the National Electric Code and should be selected based on your breaker panel type/brand. For your installation, one 15 Amp 240V GFEP Circuit is required as indicated in the installation and electrical plan. Feel free to reach out to us with the brand of your breaker panel and we will do our best to assist you and find the right parts or direct you to the right place.

Just What I Needed

I needed a small area heated to melt snow that comes off the roof by our front door. The 3x5 mat was just right. The website write-up was accurate, ie I got just what I expected. It was easy to install (wiring can be the trickiest part, but that's not a WarmlyYours issue -- I wired it to an inside manual switch). All in all, it was what I needed, easy to install, one or two phone discussions were helpful, and it works great.

Snow melting system

We recently purchased and installed a WarmlyYours snow melting cable and snow sensor controller for less than $1000. The installation instructions included with the cable were easy to follow and it took us about a week to get it installed. Now we're just waiting for snowy weather to test our snow melting system.

Installed myself, works great!

I purchased a Transfer Switch box (12 x 120 volt), a snow sensor, and an ice sensor, and installed them myself as per instructions. I had a couple questions (how to connect two "yellow wires" and where to best position the snow sensor), both answered immediately by a quick phone call. I couldn't be happier.

Great Staff

During the ordering process I was contacted multiple times to make sure the product I was getting was exactly what I needed. The switch cover came damaged as it appeared to be put on a little too tightly and it cracked. The staff were more than happy to send me a replacement. I purchased these in the winter to have on hand for spring when they will be installed so I can’t speak to how well they work at this time. I’d definitely order from them again though just based on the customer service I’ve received.

Front Door Steps clear of Snow without Shoveling or Salt

WarmlyYours was a great customer experience with very helpful sales staff in Pedro. I purchased the Melt Cable, small transformer and the new Wifi switch. A small and simple install designed for my new concrete steps and short pathway to the drive. Following the directions from WarmlyYours documentation I installed the system without issue. I am NOT a contractor but a handy home owner who understands electricity and wiring. In a nutshell, it works and I can't express the value of the simple Wifi switch. I created a Leviton account and tied the switch connectivity to IFTTT account (If This Then That) which has a weather service applet. This means when it snows the system automatically turns on without all the complicated sensors and can turn off once you go above a certain outside temperature or if it stops snowing . Whatever you want to establish as your parameters. For me not having to shovel steps is a godsend no more backaches leaning downwards on the steps. If you live in the Snowy areas of the world it's a must from my perspective . Thanks WarmlyYours Cheers Clive Hayes Happy Customer

The MAT was very easy to install.

The MAT was very easy to install - the directions were straightforward. My electrician had installed this product in the past, and the customers spoke highly of its efficiency. I can not rate how well it works at my home, as it if far from the weather needed to test it!

I'm very pleased with the performance of this system.

I'm very pleased with the performance of this system. It keeps the walkways of the patio clear of snow and ice without requiring any intervention on my part. There are a couple of "tricky" aspects to installing it under interlocking bricks. Keeping it flat while adding 1" of screening on top requires something to hold the mesh down due to the wire being fairly thick and having been rolled up in shipping. Changing heights (step downs, stairs) requires planning and access through retaining walls, etc. such that installing the wire may need to be done concurrently to the stone work being done. Last point to consider is that because the heating wires keep the area around them warmer than the rest of the patio there is a differential of frost heaving between the unheated and heated part of the patio. In my case what happened is the ground froze long before any snow or freezing rain fell, so the first time the system came on, the moisture in the lime screening under the pavers melted and this caused a localized drop in the screenings causing the pavers to be left suspended in the air. Two things to mention about what this meant. The pavers were not in direct contact with the heating wires so it appeared that the system wasn't working. to fix this issue, I walked on the heated area and the pavers dropped down to make contact with the screenings and the system then started to work as expected. The dropped pavers (1/8"~3/16") do create a visible line on the patio over the winter but in spring, it evens out again. I say all this not as criticism but rather to inform potential buyers what to expect so there are fewer unwanted surprises. I am extremely happy with the system and resulting clear paths that allow easy access to the BBQ, spa and bird feeders in the winter. Highly recommend the "practical indulgence" of installing a system like this.

Response from WarmlyYours:

Thank you for your feedback. We're happy that the system is working well for you.

The talk of the neighborhood

Loveland, Colorado - Feb 2017 After several good snow storms - as much as 10-inches - we have the following observations; 1. The auto sensors work great - the mats turn on and are working as the snow falls eliminating build up. 2. We made some max temp adjustments and have settled on 60-degrees F. 3. Blowing snow is tricky - you have to manually run the system since the moisture sensor on the eaves does not "see" falling snow and the heat does not turn on automatically. Not a huge issue but if ignored the blowing snow can build up to quite a depth making he system work very hard to melt it. 4. The edges of the walk do not get warm enough to melt - the "clear area" is pretty much the limit of the mat. We have a pretty good mass of concrete but it does not warm enough to melt either edge - about 2-inches on each side. 5. It has been the talk of the neighborhood - everyone nosing around to see the installation and asking how it works. It definitely has eliminated the frozen spot at the front of our porch and had given peace of mind we won't have someone take a terrible spill on the ice. Thanks very much for that!
