On the new touchscreen thermostat UDG4-4999, during the startup menu, users will be prompted to enter their KW load usage. Floor Load is the total wattage of the floor heating system that can be found on the installation or electrical plan. A lot of our customers may not know this for a number of reasons (they did not install or order the floor, it may be a replacement, and info on the installation has been lost, etc.) Here is an easy way to help out and get the Kilowatt load they need for this menu step.
Kilowatt load usage can be figured by taking the square footage of the open floor space multiplied by 15 (for tile) or 12 (for carpet and laminate). This gives us the total wattage which we then divide by 1000 to get the Kilowatts.
An example: the user has a 100-square-foot room that is tiled. The math would look like this: 100 sq feet X 15 watts per square foot = 1500 divided by 1000 = 1.5 KW

This information is on the WarmlyYours heating system's installation plan, electrical plan, or UL label. Based on guidelines from the National Electrical Code: loads up to 16 Amps may utilize 12 gauge wire with a 20-Amp breaker, and loads up to 12 Amps - 14 gauge wire with a 15-Amp breaker. Local code and/or other factors may change these guidelines.

We would also not recommend using both devices on the same control, as it does not take the same amount of time to reach the ideal temperature for each product, which could lead to one unit to overheat and the other to not function properly.
Off-mode means that Mysa thermostat won't be sending power to the floor heaters. The Mysa thermostat will still be on but won't be turning the heaters on. This setting can be enabled on the Mysa thermostat itself or in the Mysa app.
On the Mysa thermostat: Hold down the down arrow until you see three dots on the display. Let go of the down arrow. The thermostat is now in off mode.
In the Mysa app: Tap the tile of the Mysa thermostat you'd like to turn off. Press the icon in the bottom left corner and a pop-up menu should appear. Tap off-mode, which is visually represented by a plug.
The H2 error is a result of the Mysa brand thermostat sensing an open heating circuit. To complete the heater circuit:

The default is 10k. If this is a new installation, that is the answer. In the very rare occasion that this is replacing an older Energy stat (eg. square OJ Microline from before 2010 with red and green sensor wires), choose 12k. If this is a replacement for the other 99% of the thermostats WarmlyYours sold (Honeywell TH115 and TH111 thermostats), 10k is the value.
Always start with the default 10kΩ and change later if needed.

We do not recommend it, but If the thermostat is controlling the floor temperature with a floor sensor, then it can go on an exterior wall. It is important that the floor sensor gets located in an area of the floor not hit by sunshine.
If the thermostat will be controlling the air temperature with the built-in ambient sensor, then it should go on an interior wall.

When the ground fault protection mechanism trips, the TEST light is On (red). To reset the ground fault protection, switch the thermostat to Off and back to On. The TEST light will turn off.

Did you find this helpful?No, a circuit breaker will NOT protect against a power surge; a circuit breakers primary function is to protect against excessive current flow (overload), while a surge protector is specifically designed to handle voltage spikes, which are what power surges are considered to be.
If your thermostat is blank, the first thing to do is to test to see if voltage is present at the rear of the thermostat. Verify that the power module power switches are in the ON position. Test for 12VDC across the 12VDC screw and the GROUND screw at the back of the thermostat. If no power is reaching the thermostat, please test for 12VDC across the 12VDC and GND output at the front of power module base that is supplying power to the thermostat (the faceplate must be installed). If no power is present there, please inspect the circuit breaker in the breaker panel powering the power modules, and verify that the breaker is a non-GFCI type. If it is a GFCI breaker, replace it with a non-GFCI breaker. If there is power entering the thermostat and it is blank, it will need to be replaced. If power is getting to the power module and there is no 12VDC output to thermostat, the power module will need to be replaced.
Set the COMFORT temp of the final period of the day starting at the desired time with the corresponding ECONOMY temp ending at 12:00 pm. Then on the first period of the next day, set the COMFORT temp of the first period at 00:15 am with the corresponding ECONOMY temp ending at the desired time.

High voltage can also damage the coil. Other reasons include mechanical wear and tear, dust or dirt buildup, and moisture. These factors can cause the relay to malfunction or stop working entirely. Cut power to the heating system at the main electrical panel, have a qualified electrician verify the installation and, if necessary, replace the CT230.

Class A GFCI provides personnel protection and trips when ground fault current exceeds 5 mA (milliamps). Class B GFCI protection is pretty much obsolete, but older systems may still require it. Warmly Yours controllers with built-in Class B GFCI provide equipment and circuit protection and operates when a fault to ground exceeds 15 mA.

Did you find this helpful?If your brightness is set to 10% and you have to constantly turn the thermostat back on, try changing the brightness to 20%. This is a HomeKit issue because HomeKit sets the inactive brightness to half of the active brightness, therefore if the brightness is set to 10%, half of it is 5%. The Mysa thermostat only has the ability to change the brightness in 10% increments, so a setting of 5% would turn off the thermostats. If you find yourself having any other brightness issues, try turning off the breaker and turning it back on again.
No. This film is just meant to protect the display from scratches during shipping and installation. To remove the film, gently lift up one of the corners and slowly peel the film off.

The regular temperature of a Mysa thermostat housing normally varies between 35°C and 50°C (95°F and 122°F). So it's perfectly normal for the Mysa thermostat to be warm while it's controlling your heating system.
Yes, Mysa supports the majority of existing in-floor sensors. If you already have a sensor installed in your floor prior to the installation of the thermostat, please be sure to determine the resistance of your thermistor to ensure it's compatibility with the Mysa- this can be done using an ohmmeter which will display the resistance (eg. 10KΩ). If you want to install a sensor before the Mysa thermostat arrives, we recommend installing a standard 10KΩ sensor.

If there is power to the thermostat and it still doesn't appear to work, then the next step toward a solution is to take Ohm measurements of the floor heating system.
This is done with a digital multi-meter that can select a low 200 Ohm (Ω) scale. To conduct this test, turn off the circuit breaker. Remove the thermostat completely from the wall and disconnect the wires connected to the LOAD connections at the back of the thermostat. Disconnect the ground wires from the house ground, and do the test shown on the links below. If you are uncomfortable doing this test, contact a qualified electrician.

a.) The higher temp reading might be due to a rubber bottomed / heavy rug, or piece of furniture placed over the floor sensor. This would trap heat over the sensor making it read a higher value than the rest of the floor –- Remove the item trapping the heat over the floor sensor.
b.) If the thermostat indicates a strange, higher measurement. Then more than one (1) floor sensor may have been hooked up to the thermostat -- Disconnect the extra sensor(s) and leave just one pair of wires hooked up (terminals C+D) to the thermostat.
c.) The floor sensor calibration may have been changed -- This setting should NEVER be changed, do a thermostat factory reset: Installer and User resets to clean this up.
d.) Is the OJ Microline thermostat used on a very old floor heating system? Some of the older systems, particularly the ones using an OJ Dual / Energystat thermostat had 12kΩ sensors in the floor -- Change the installer setting to read a 12kΩ floor sensor, instead of the default 10kΩ floor sensor.

Did you find this helpful?The flashing digits indicate that the actual (measured) floor temperature exceeds the thermostat temperature limit.
The temperature limit is set for either tile (104°F/40°C) or laminate (82°F/28°C) when the thermostat is first set up or re-configured.
For example: When the floor type (protection) is set to laminate, the limit defaults to 82°F/28°C. If the floor temperature goes above this - whether due to radiant floor heating or external heating sources, then the digits will flash and the heating is switched off.
Turning the temperature up or down will not affect the flashing digits. And leaving the thermostat alone with flashing digits does not harm the system.
Tip: To turn off the heated floor (ex. for months when it is not needed), on the outer edge of the thermostat, depress the lower right side button for 3-5 seconds. This will also turn it back on.

Sensor resistance should be in 8kΩ-15kΩ range and can be tested with a digital multimeter on a 20k scale. If the sensor resistance is out of range, it could be damaged. Please note, only one floor sensor can be connected to a single thermostat.
