Hello and welcome to today's installation video. Today, we'll be installing this LED mirror on the wall. Let's go ahead and see what's inside the box. The product comes well packed, and we will start by removing the padding from all four corners and taking off the bubble wrap. Now we can take a look at the product itself.

As we examine the front of the mirror, we can see the LED strips that run all the way around the mirror behind the frosted glass. Additionally, there is a nice beveled edge surrounding the mirror, and the on/off switch is conveniently located on the front. Next, let’s take a look at the back of the mirror, which is where the mounting and electrical connections are located. On the back, we can identify a couple of mounting points. These points will be used for mounting the mirror in either landscape or portrait orientation. There is also an adjustable leg that helps keep the mirror flat against the wall.

Now that we've discussed the mounting points, let's move on to the electrical connection. The electrical connection will be made in the black box located at the back of the mirror. We will remove the screws from this box to show you its contents. Just an FYI, the black component here is the back of the power switch. The sticker on the back indicates "mains in," which is where the power will come from your wall box. Here, we will clamp down the line and neutral wires, sending 120 volts into the LED power supply, which will output 12 volts DC. This 12 volts DC will then go into the wiring harness and power the LEDs.

On the back of the mirror, we have already shown how to connect the 120 volts. We’ve attached a jumper cable that will facilitate easy connections at our wall outlet, which will be directly behind the mirror. It’s essential to ensure that we have enough length to make a good connection, allowing one person to hold the mirror while the other pushes the wires into the box.

Now, let’s examine the mounting points on the back. There are specific points we will measure to hang the mirror in portrait mode, which means the narrow side will be oriented vertically. We measured the distance between the two mounting holes, which is 10.5 inches apart. It’s important to note that your mirror may differ, so always perform your own measurements. For our installation today, we will measure 10.5 inches, finding the center of the holes and measuring 5.25 inches to the left and right to center it over the outlet.

Next, I will mark the wall at a height of about 15 inches above the outlet, which will help us determine where to drill our holes. With our mounting screws ready, we will now use a drill to create holes for the anchors in the wall. Once the mounting screws are installed, it’s time to make our electrical connections. Before proceeding, please ensure that the circuit is dead by turning off the circuit breaker. I also recommend testing the wires with a meter to confirm they are indeed dead.

Now we are ready to connect the jumper wire to the wires in the junction box. If you are not comfortable with this step, please consult a licensed and bonded electrician to ensure the installation meets local electrical codes. In our case, the purple wire is the line, and the gray wire is the neutral. I will tie the neutrals together first, followed by the line connection.

Today, we have provided a general installation overview for these types of mirrors. The mounting process is quite similar across different models, with the primary variation being the distances between the mounting holes. We have successfully made our electrical connection at the back, hung the mirror on the wall in front of the junction box, and turned on the circuit breaker. Now, for the moment of truth—let’s see if it works. And it does!
