Properly securing the panels will keep them from moving. Acceptable methods are small pieces of tape, wire clips, hot glue and staples. Although it is important to remember never to staple on the wire.

The floor sensor is used to measure the floor temperature. It's recommended that the wire does not cross the heating wires. During the floor sensor placement, it's important to visualize the finished room. If that sensor is located underneath a bath mat or other floor covering, it could be tricked into thinking that the flooring is actually warmer.

The short lead is usually designated as the beginning of your customized floor plan by a yellow marking. The end is white. Both should be brought to the thermostat gang box without crossing the heating wires or the sensor wire.

Additional ohms readings are recommended to make sure the integrity of the heating wire has not been compromised.
