A heated dining room floor keeps everyone warm underfoot through a long meal—with no register blowing across the table. Installs under hardwood, engineered wood, tile, or laminate.
A dining room only gets used a few hours at a stretch—but they are the hours that matter. Radiant floor heating warms the room quietly, from the floor up, and costs nothing when nobody is in it.
Comfort Through Long MealsSeated guests lose heat through their feet first. A warm floor keeps everyone at the table comfortable from the first course to the last.
No Drafts Across the TableForced-air registers push warm air across the room and chill whoever sits nearest. Radiant heat rises evenly from the floor—no vents, no drafts, no cold end of the table.
Only Pay for the Hours You UseA dining room zone costs about C$0.10–C$0.30 per hour. Schedule it around dinner and holidays with a programmable thermostat and it stays off the rest of the day.
Works Under Dining Room FloorsTempZone™ mats and cable install under tile, stone, and nailed hardwood. Environ™ Flex Rolls handle engineered wood, laminate, and other floating floors.
Silent Enough for ConversationNo fan cycling on mid-sentence and no ductwork circulating dust over the table. Radiant heat makes no sound at all.
Ready for Every GatheringHolidays, birthdays, long Sunday dinners—warm floors make the dining room somewhere people want to stay after the plates are cleared.

But don't just take our word for it, check out what some of our customers have had to say.
“From our founder
I picked the name ‘WarmlyYours’ because I really felt that it embodied how we wanted to treat our customers and how we wanted them to see us – as a partner.

We had to replace a 10 year old thermostat.
The installation was straightforward and we find the new thermostat to be more intuitive and is a breeze to use.

This pad has just enough supportive squish and thickness to help with 1/32 inch variations in subfloor, by my estimation.
It's comparable in function and probably insulative break to a quarter inch roll of natural cork.
The two foot by 3 ft pieces fit together well, I taped some of the seams to aid in installation. Cutting with a razor knife or heavy duty scissors is very easy.
I think this underlayment really facilitated the use of the warmly yours radiant heat mat on top. I appreciate that it provides a thermal break between the wires and the subfloor, and help radiate the heat upwards through the finished floor.

Sometimes in cars or in floor warming systems a simpler version works just fine.
We decided to switch out from our WiFi version which was spotty reception. We are now enjoying toasty radiant heat beneath the powder room floor. It has been marvelous this very cold winter season.

The ThermalSheet underlayment is a quality product that worked great with our 3x6 warming mat installation.

New one seems to work great, but a little disappointed the original only lasted a little over 5 years.
Dining room floor heating costs depend on your flooring and how much open floor you heat. For tile, stone, or nailed hardwood, TempZone systems cost C$6–C$17 per square foot. For engineered wood, laminate, or other floating floors, Environ™ Flex Rolls cost C$12–C$18 per square foot. A 180 sq.ft. dining room with about 120 heated square feet would cost between C$700 and C$2,200 for heating materials plus a thermostat (C$130–C$350).
You only heat the floor people actually use. Most dining rooms need heat in the open area around the table rather than wall to wall, which keeps material costs down. Operating costs are modest—typically C$0.10–C$0.30 per hour for a dining room zone, and a programmable thermostat means you only pay for it around mealtimes. Rolls & Mats For Tile, Stone & Hardwood
WarmlyYours TempZone™ Flex Roll, Easy Mat and Custom Mat install underneath ceramic tile, natural stone and nailed hardwood. Custom Mats are made to your room's exact shape, which matters in a dining room where the heated area usually stops short of the walls and works around a hutch or built-in.
TempZone™ Easy Mats allow for radiant heating of smaller, simpler areas at an affordable cost. These under floor mats are perfect for providing targeted heating for moderately sized bathroom and kitchen floors.
Features
Pre-sized mats for quick installs with no complex cuts
Perfect for spot heating (vanities, entryways, small spaces)
TempZone™ Custom Mats for tile, stone or hardwood floors were designed to offer the most optimal fit for rooms of any shape. Our custom-fit mats were developed to follow curves and angles with ease.
Features
Designed to your exact floor plan for edge‑to‑edge coverage
No on‑site cuts or turns—faster, cleaner installation
Ideal for curves, angles, and obstacles like islands and vanities
TempZone™ Floor Heating Cable is the lower-cost option for the same flooring types. You set the spacing yourself as you run it, so it follows an irregular footprint without a custom order—at the cost of more time on your knees during installation.
TempZone™ Cable is ultra-low EMF by design and is available in two voltage options and a range of lengths to meet the requirements of any installation.
Features
Works under tile, stone, and luxury vinyl floors
Provides radiant heat and crack isolation
Flexible layouts for irregular or custom-shaped rooms
TempZone™ Ruler Cable is ultra-low EMF by design and is available in two voltage options and a range of lengths to meet the requirements of any installation.
Features
Built-in ruler markings for precise, repeatable spacing
Ideal for large areas requiring consistent coverage
Flexible, durable cable for clean turns and complex layouts
Comes with easy-to-read hash marks at every half-inch, inch, and foot increment on the cable
Can be used to heat some of the most popular floor coverings like tile, stone, marble, luxury vinyl tile, and more
WarmlyYours Environ™ Flex Rolls are designed for use under laminate, floating wood and carpet (U.S. only)—the floors most often found in a dining room. The rolls can be cut and turned at 90° or 180° to cover the total area intended to be heated.
WarmlyYours Environ Flex Rolls are designed for use under carpet (U.S. only), laminate and floating wood. The mats can be installed easily and quickly for large spaces.
Features
Flexible roll design cuts and turns to follow your layout
Ideal for floating laminate, engineered wood, or carpet
Dry installation—no mortar or adhesives
10 Year Warranty under Laminate & Floating Hardwood, 5 Year under Carpet (Us Only)
Every complete WarmlyYours floor heating system—TempZone™, Environ™, or Slab Heat—ships with two floor sensors: one with the heating mat or cable and one with the thermostat. Install the backup right beside the primary sensor and run both leads to the thermostat box, but connect only the primary; the backup stays disconnected until it is needed.
The floor sensor lives under your tile, wood, carpet, or concrete, where it tells the thermostat how warm the floor really is. If that sensor is ever nicked during installation or fails years down the road, replacing it would normally mean tearing up the finished floor.
With the backup already embedded in the floor, the fix takes minutes: turn off power at the breaker, disconnect the original sensor at the thermostat, connect the backup, and your heat is back on. No torn-up floor, no new flooring, no second installation. Follow your thermostat's instructions, or have a qualified electrician make the swap.
Installer tip: Install both sensors side by side, centered between the heating wires, and test each one for 8–15 kΩ before covering the floor. For Slab Heat, place the sensors in capped 3/4" rigid metal conduit between cable runs, clear of the heating cable, as the Slab Heat installation manual describes.
It depends on how you use the room. A formal space used a few times a year returns less. An everyday eating area or open kitchen-dining plan benefits daily — quiet, even warmth during meals, no forced-air draft, and a premium feature buyers notice at resale.
In a well-insulated dining room, yes — an electric system can be the primary heat source when it’s sized to the room’s heat loss. In older or draftier homes it more often works as supplemental comfort heat. Every free SmartPlan™ includes a heat-loss calculation so you know before buying.
Yes — and dining rooms are among the easiest rooms to do. A simple rectangular footprint with little cabinetry or plumbing means high heated coverage with few obstructions. WarmlyYours electric cable and mat systems install under tile, stone, engineered wood, and luxury vinyl.
Tile is the ideal surface for radiant heat — it conducts efficiently and holds warmth after the system cycles off. TempZone™ cable and mat systems are the standard choice for tile, stone, marble, and porcelain, installing directly in the thinset layer with minimal added floor height.
Every heated zone needs a thermostat. In an open plan you can run one system across the whole connected area, or split kitchen and dining into separate zones with independent schedules. Most open-plan homeowners prefer separate zones — warm kitchen while cooking, dining warm only at dinner.
Cost depends on heated square footage, system type, and thermostat. On a mealtime schedule, operating a 1,000 W dining room system runs about C$15.75/month. For exact material pricing on your room, request a free SmartPlan™ — a custom layout and quote with no account required.
Very. Nearly 100% of the electricity becomes heat at the floor — no duct losses, no furnace running to warm unused rooms. Radiant warmth also feels comfortable at a lower setpoint. Pair it with a programmable WiFi thermostat and heat only during meal hours.
It can. Thick or rubber-backed rugs trap heat, which may cause overheating or damage the floor above. Choose a thin, low-pile rug with a breathable natural backing such as jute or cotton. The accepted safe limit is a combined R-value of 1.0 or less.
