How the Grande 10 and Grande 12 towel warmers connect to power, and the mounting hardware and wallplate that ship with them.
Every Grande 10 (TWS6-GRD10BH, TWS6-GRD10PH, TWS6-GRD10KH) and Grande 12 (TWS6-GRD12PH, TWS6-GRD12KH) towel warmer is hardwired only, 120 V, in every finish. None of them has a plug-in or dual-connect option.
How it connects
- The power cable runs through one of the mounting legs, the power mounting tube, to a standard single-gang electrical junction box in the wall behind that leg. The Grande 10 sell sheet calls this a direct-leg hardwired connection.
- A matching wallplate covers the junction box, and the towel warmer is secured to it.
- The installation guide calls for a 15 A GFCI-protected branch circuit (14 AWG) and an outlet box 4 inches high by 2 inches wide.
- The towel warmer must be on a GFCI-protected circuit and wired by a licensed electrician, following the NEC or CEC rules for electrical fixtures in bathrooms. Keep the electrical connection away from water.
- Have the electrician rough in the 120 V supply at the leg location before the drywall is closed; the installation manual gives the exact rough-in position.
- To add a control, use a WarmlyYours hardwired control (countdown timer, programmable timer or WiFi switch); the installation guide shows it in its own junction box.
What’s in the box
The towel warmer, the installation manual and a hardware kit in the matching finish. The hardware kit includes:
- Three mounting tubes and one power mounting tube, with set screws and leg-mounting screws.
- Three wall brackets, bracket screws and wall anchors.
- A matching wallplate (faceplate), 4½ × 2 11/16 inches, with its circular insert and screws.
- Wire nuts, a ground wire with ring terminal, ground screw, nut and washers.
- A 2.5 mm hex wrench.
