Why and How to Use the WarmlyYours Instant Quote Tool
A visual guide to using our Instant Quote tool that gives you access to obtaining a free radiant floor heating quote.
Hello and thank you for joining today's webinar, "Why and How to Use the WarmlyYours Instant Quote Tool," hosted by WarmlyYours Radiant Heating. I'm your moderator, Scott Rosenbaum, and I'm going to take the next 15 minutes or so to discuss the benefits of our Instant Quote Tool for your customers as well as your business. I will also walk you through the tool to show you how it works. Before we dive into the presentation, I'd like to mention that if you have any questions throughout the webinar, you can submit them at any time by clicking on the Questions and Answers button located in the top left corner of your screen. I will answer these questions at the end of the webinar.
As a trade professional, you're accustomed to working with customers to determine exactly what they need for their projects. Whether you offer radiant heating as a solution or whether they ask for it directly, the next question is usually, "How much does it cost?" As you know, this varies greatly from project to project, depending on the size of the space and the product being used. However, you can provide your customers with a fast and accurate quote by using our Instant Quote Tool online. WarmlyYours developed the Instant Quote Tool years ago to make quoting as easy as possible, and we have recently updated the tool to enhance its usability.
In as little as four steps, our Instant Quote Tool will show you all the available floor heating options side by side, along with each option's costs and differentiating features. For instance, depending on the project, your customer might see our TempZone Flex Roll as one option, our TempZone Cable spaced at three inches apart as another option, and our TempZone Cable spaced at four inches apart as the final option. This side-by-side format makes it straightforward for customers to select the product best suited for their project while also fitting their budget. Once your customer has an idea of how much their radiant heating project would cost, we encourage them to take the next step and get a custom installation plan. This plan uses a floor plan of the room to offer even more detail about the products needed, the cost, and how the system should be optimally installed.
If they register or log into their WarmlyYours online account, they can upload a floor plan directly to us and receive a detailed quote with a custom installation plan, usually within one business day. They can also request a custom installation plan directly from their WarmlyYours account manager or by emailing sales@warmlyyours.com. Now that we've gone over the reasons why you should use our Instant Quote Tool, let's take a closer look at how it actually works. First, we need to identify where to locate the tool on our website. When you visit warmlyyours.com, you'll see a large blue button titled "Instant Quote" right on the home page. You'll also notice a small tools menu in the top right corner; by clicking on "Tools," the drop-down menu will reveal "Instant Quote" as the first option.
You can access the Instant Quote Tool from either of these areas. Once you're in the tool, you'll notice that the first step is to select the type of heating your customer is interested in. You can choose between indoor floor heating, which includes slab heating, or snow melting, roof and gutter de-icing, towel warmers, and radiant panels. For the purposes of this webinar, we'll focus on the indoor floor heating category. After selecting indoor floor heating, you can name the project and move on to the next step. In step two, you should select the room in which your customer would like to install the heated floors. The primary rooms listed include the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and basement, but you can also find a variety of additional options under "Other."
The next step is to submit a few details about the project. First, indicate your role in the project; for example, you can choose "Dealer" as shown on the screen. Next, enter the zip code of where the project will be located. Whether the project is in the United States or Canada, you can enter the zip code without changing countries in the browser. You can also specify whether or not you would like the floor heating system to be the primary source of heat for the room. If your customer is indifferent or unsure, you can simply select "Not sure." Following this, you should select the subfloor material, which will help narrow down the type of product needed for the project. For instance, if you select "Newly Poured Indoor Concrete Slab," our slab heating mats or cable will be the only option. However, if you select "Wood" or "Existing Concrete Slab," both our TempZone and envirOn systems could be options.
Finally, you should select the flooring type that your customer will be using. Different radiant heating products work under different flooring types, so this will confirm the type of product needed for the project. Generally, our TempZone floor heating system works under tile, stone, and hardwood, while our envirOn system works under laminate and floating woods in the U.S. and Canada, and carpet in the U.S. only. Step four offers several ways to complete the quote. Entering the square footage or the width and length of the areas that will be heated are the fastest and simplest ways to get a quote. These options will immediately result in a side-by-side comparison of eligible products for your customer's project.
For instance, the quote might show you the prices and features of a TempZone Flex Roll compared with TempZone cable spaced at three inches and TempZone cable spaced at four inches, as we discussed earlier. It could also show you the prices and features of a slab heating mat versus a slab heating cable, depending on the selections made in step three. After selecting a product that best suits the customer's project, the Instant Quote Tool will offer control and accessory options. You'll notice that these controls and accessories already reflect your trade discount. On this page, you will also have the ability to calculate your shipping costs and apply a coupon if you have one.
Once you select the items you need, your quote is complete. However, if you want to receive a more detailed quote, you can select "Draw Room," "Upload Floor Plan," or "Schedule Measurement" in step four. Each of these options will result in a custom installation plan, which is important for several reasons. While our Instant Quote will provide you with the recommended products for your project and their costs, a custom installation plan will give you even more detailed information. For instance, it will provide an accurate measurement of the placement of the heating element, as well as an electrical plan with all details required for electrical installation. It also simplifies troubleshooting because our technical support team can reference the plan and guide you through the installation process accordingly.
If you select "Draw Room," you'll be prompted to register or log into your account before providing additional details about your project. You can then select the online design tool, which will guide you through your floor plan design, resulting in a room layout that shows approximately where the heating element should be installed. It also provides the customer with a quote that includes the recommended heating element, thermostat, and accessories. To obtain a custom installation plan, simply click the "Request a Free Installation Plan" button on the page. If you already have a floor plan of the room, you can select the "Upload Floor Plan" option, allowing you to send the floor plan to the WarmlyYours team for a custom installation plan. A sales representative will get back to you with this plan the following business day.
Finally, if the customer doesn't know the exact measurements of their room and would like a professional to measure and calculate them, you can select "Schedule Measurement." This option initiates WarmlyYours' complimentary SmartFit in-home measurement service, in which a professional will travel to the home to measure all requested areas and obtain the required information. This guarantees accuracy that will be useful in preparing a custom installation plan. Our SmartFit service is available throughout most of the United States. Whether your customer would like an instant quote or a more detailed custom installation plan, our Instant Quote Tool is the best place to start in determining how much a radiant floor heating project will cost.
The tool can also be used for other applications. If your customer is interested in snow melting, roof and gutter de-icing, towel warmers, or radiant panels, the Instant Quote Tool can assist there as well. This is the fastest and most accurate way to get your customer started with a radiant heating project, so be sure to explore the Instant Quote Tool before discussing radiant heating with your next customer. For more information about using the Instant Quote Tool or if you need help getting a quote, please contact your account manager. If you don't know who your account manager is, you can easily find out by checking your online account, if you have one, or by contacting us at 800-875-5285, and we would be happy to direct you.
Now, I'd like to open the floor to any questions. Please feel free to submit a question using the Questions and Answers button in the top left corner of your screen. For those of you who don't have any questions because this might be your first look at this, we have asked a couple of people to join us. Our Instant Quote experts, Jennifer Cauley and Eric Mombauer, are on hand to help answer any questions you might have. Jen and Eric, thank you so much for joining us.
We often receive questions related to this subject, so we have compiled a few of them, and perhaps you can help answer them. Jen, directed towards you, is it necessary to name the project in the Instant Quote Tool?
It is necessary. It's always important to name your projects by the customer's last name or by the street address of the project. This allows both you and us to differentiate between multiple projects and quotes. Additionally, if you or the homeowner call in looking for troubleshooting advice, we can find the information as quickly as possible and assist you faster.
Fantastic, thank you. We have a question here from Karen. Karen asked, "I noticed the heat mats were under the toilet. I thought you had to go around the toilet."
Thanks for asking that, Karen. We do show that the mat goes under the toilet overhang because the most important thing is to keep the heating wire three to four inches away from the wax ring. That's the overriding factor. For comfort, as you keep your feet warm, the heating mat will extend under the overhang of the toilet a little bit. It's challenging to illustrate that in a drawing looking straight down, but the key is to maintain that distance from the wax ring. So you don't necessarily have to go around the toilet; you can go right up next to it. Thank you for your question, Karen.
Now, Eric, we have another question that we often receive: "Can I save this quote in my online account? Who will have access to the quote in my online account?"
Yes, you can save any of these quotes to your online account. If you're the first creator of the account, you're actually the administrator. We have the ability to create various roles under the account, so if you have other salespeople in your company, you can create accounts for each of them. Each of those individuals will only be able to view the opportunities or quotes related to them. However, as the administrator, you can view everyone's. We recommend creating a login for each of your employees to keep things organized for you and your accountant.
Great, thank you so much. We have another question here from Bob. Bob asks, "How much do you have to cover the in-floor heat cable with self-leveling or LVT?"
I'm not sure what you mean by LVT, except I know that it refers to luxury vinyl tile. Oh, I see now. To clarify, how much do you have to cover the in-floor heat cable with self-leveling when installing LVT? The answer is that we suggest a total pour of about 3/8 of an inch, which includes what is covering the cable. This means that from the surface of the cable to the top of the surface that the LVT will be sitting on, it should be about 3/8 of an inch total. This provides a nice spread of heat. Very good question, Bob.
We have one more question for you, Jen. How can a person revise a quote?
To revise the quote, you need to be logged into your online account. From there, you can select the project or projects that you want to revise and make the changes online accordingly.
All right, very good. Thank you so much. That looks like all the questions we have for now. Thank you, folks, for submitting your questions, and hopefully, we have answered them for you. If we haven't, feel free to contact us at sales@warmlyyours.com, and we'll get any and all of your questions answered. Thank you so much, Jen and Eric.
No problem at all. With that, I'd like to thank you for listening in and giving us the chance to share our innovative and unique Instant Quote Tool with you. We sincerely appreciate your time and hope to be in touch with you soon. Until then, stay warm and be radiant.
