The LED in lower right corner of the thermostat will illuminate.

Change the 'state' by pressing the main button briefly. The load state will flash 'On' or 'Off' to indicate the change and will remain in effect until the next program cycle is invoked or the main button is pressed again.

By default the Programable Timer is set to +45 longitude and -75 latitude, this is fine for most North American cities. To find your cities coordinates, go to www.geonames.org, or simply use a GPS device.
Note: enter a negative number for a south latitude or a west longitude.

The ambient room temperature is either too low or too high, affecting the thermostat's display.

Press and hold the main button for the Menu option, select Prog.  Press and release the main button until the days of the week are flashing.  Use the right arrow to scroll through the days of the week until you get the word NONE.  This means there will be no schedule for that specific program.

Yes, regular (non-dimming) light switch can be used as an external switch to control a towel warmer in addition to a built-in switch on the towel warmer itself. A GFCI breaker powering the switch may be required by local Electrical Code.
