How Environ™ Mats Install
Environ mats use a straightforward dry-lay method—no wet materials, no curing time, no mess. Here's what the installation process looks like:
Prep the Subfloor
Ensure the subfloor is clean, flat, and dry. No special primers or bonding agents needed.
Roll Out the Mat
Unroll the Environ mat across the floor area. Cut the mesh (never the cable) to navigate around obstacles.
Connect to Thermostat
Run the cold lead to your thermostat location. Connect to your nSpire or nJoy thermostat per wiring instructions.
Install Flooring
Lay your floating floor directly over the mat. No waiting for anything to cure—install and enjoy same day.
How Much Does It Cost to Run an Environ™ Mat?

*3 Floating floor can be installed over an embedded TempZone system in 3/8–½" self-leveling cement (SLC), fully cured.
*4 Nailed floors: Install wood sleepers across subfloor, lay mat between sleepers, cover with self-leveling cement, then nail flooring into sleepers only.
