This project features an upgraded Kitchen, Living Room and Bathroom with electric floor heating.
For this high-altitude retreat, the goal was to eliminate the harsh chill of stone and tile floors, not just in one area, but across multiple rooms. The challenge was to create a cohesive and energy-efficient heating system that would provide tailored warmth for both the large, open-plan kitchen and the more intimate bathroom and closet spaces, ensuring every step is a comfortable one.
The Solution: Zoned Warming with TempZone™
A comprehensive electric underfloor heating system was designed using versatile TempZone™ Flex Rolls, with separate zones for precise control and efficiency.
- Zone 1: The Kitchen (285 sq.ft.): As the heart of the home, the kitchen was outfitted with a powerful 240V system. The flex rolls were installed wall-to-wall under the new stone tile, providing robust, even heat distribution perfect for this large, high-traffic area.
- Zone 2: The Bathroom & Closet (57 sq.ft.): To create a spa-like experience, a 120V TempZone™ system was installed in the master bathroom and closet. This is the ideal under tile heating solution for transforming these spaces into a warm, personal retreat.
- Unified Smart Control: Both zones are independently managed by their own nSpire Touch WiFi Programmable Thermostat. Allows you to control your underfloor heating system remotely using a smartphone app
