The third quarter of this year has shown signs of stabilization in the broader housing market, providing a clearer path forward for the radiant heating industry. This timeframe has allowed us to capitalize on several strong growth multipliers for the company, most notably the massive sales growth realized in the Great Lakes Region for our entire line of radiant heating systems.

For WarmlyYours, third-quarter sales in this region achieved an impressive 6.8% year-over-year increase, making it easily the fastest-growing region for radiant heating sales. This regional success may indicate a comparable nationwide upswell, especially as favorable remodeling metrics point toward a healthy future for home renovation spending in the near term.

In this report, we'll take a closer look at the stellar performance of radiant heating product sales, with a specific focus on floor heating systems, and analyze the impact that the national housing and remodeling markets are expected to have on future sales.

WarmlyYours Product Performance in Q3 2025

In addition to exceptional performance in the Great Lakes region, WarmlyYours also saw significant growth internationally (Canadian sales were up 9.3%) along with 8% growth in the rest of the US.

This sales growth came from a diverse array of product categories. The fastest growing product line was our roof and gutter deicing cables, which were up 58.9% over the same period last year. These heating elements are used to prevent the formation of ice dams on roof perimeters which can cause costly damage to the roof itself. We sell both self-regulating and constant wattage versions of the cables and offer them in 120V and 240V variants. The self-regulating version is hardwired and can be cut to length on site, while our constant wattage cables are plug-in and come in pre-selected lengths.

The second fastest growing product line nationally was towel warmers, which was up a whopping 51.1% over last year. The most popular models, by sales volume, also were among the fastest growing models, suggesting significant and sustainable growth for the foreseeable future. The Tahoe (up 97.6%), Grande (up 58.9%), and Infinity (up 33.7%) were all up substantially and these models represent a variety of towel warmer features like a range of available finishes, bar counts, and bar shapes.

Snow melting was up 15.8% and presented the second highest volume shift (after towel warmers) but the significant part of this news is that Q3 is historically the strongest quarter for snow melting sales every year. Nearly 16% growth this year bodes very well for trailing Q4/Q1 sales and a significant uptick in sales for Q2 and Q3 next year particularly if the 2025-2026 winter has substantial snowfall nationally.

Similarly, we saw pipe freeze protection grow 11.2% during this time period. And we should expect similar growth patterns to snow melting in the foreseeable future.

Q3 2025 Radiant Heating Sales Growth in the Great Lakes Region

In the third quarter of this year, WarmlyYours saw significant growth in a number of different areas in the US. For example, the Mideast and New England areas were up 1.1% and 2.4%, respectively. But the largest volume and rate of growth came from the Great Lakes region (including, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio).

WarmlyYours has always enjoyed strong sales in this region for a number of reasons. Primarily, WarmlyYours was founded in Illinois and has enjoyed over 26 years of connections and community involvement, which have, in turn, become lasting partnerships. Additionally, the Great Lakes region is also home to cold temperatures for large parts of the year, which is conducive to radiant heating sales.

The fastest growing product line in the Great Lakes region was towel warmers (up 50.1%). Besides overall sales growth, one other possible explanation for the increase in towel warmer sales is popularity of vacation homes and rental properties in the upper midwest where many water or swimming based recreational activities can make a towel warmer an attractive investment. The biggest volume increases came from floor heating (up 16.6%) and snow melting (up 32%), respectively.

While snow melting grew 32%, outdoor heating products as a whole (which also covers our roof and gutter deicing and pipe freeze protection product lines), saw significant sales growth (up 42%). The fastest growing products were the Self-Regulating Roof and Gutter Deicing Cable 240V (up 402%), the Constant Wattage Roof and Gutter Deicing 120V Cable (up 262%), and the Snow Melt Cable 120V (up 109.8%).

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Great Lakes region is in store for a winter that is both wetter and colder than average. If this holds true, then consumer interest will be at a fever pitch in spring when installation season begins again.

Floor heating’s growth in the Great Lakes during the third quarter of 2025 was marked by increased sales in several important products. The TempZone Easy Mat led the way with a rate of change at an impressive 595% growth compared to last year. The TempZone Easy Mat is used for spot heating, which is where a heating element is only placed and adhered on the subfloor in certain high traffic “spots”. This installation method cuts down on both material and operating costs, while cutting down on comfort for the end user.

Slab Heating Mats (up 52.5%) were also popular last quarter and are often used for adding radiant heat to a new pour concrete slab. Growth in these product lines often signal a higher degree of new construction occurring in the housing market.

The biggest volume increase came from the TempZone Floor Heating Cable (up 219.3%). This is one of our flagship floor heating products and is a great option for almost any project. The cable can be installed with an uncoupling membrane like Prodeso or it can be installed with fixing strips like our GripStrips. The cable can also be installed with different spacing, which can raise or lower the heat output of the system.

WarmlyYours, who has created over 600,000 installation plans, has made a concerted effort to design floor heating systems based on the actual needs for an area. For example, a home in the Great Lakes using floor heating as a primary heat source will have different needs than a similar home in the Southwest. Julia Billen, owner and president of WarmlyYours, said that this kind of “geo-targeting” is a value-add service that WarmlyYours is uniquely positioned to offer in the radiant heating marketplace.

“For decades we have worked to perfect custom floor heating design plans that we can turn around in a single day,” said Billen. “During that time we have also accrued invaluable data about the real needs of our customers all across the planet and how their local weather patterns affect that. And what we’ve learned has allowed us to provide a level of customization in our install plans that no one else can match.”

Billen said that this design flexibility and customization has been critical in driving growth in some of WarmlyYours’s most crucial customer segments. The largest volume increase in Great Lakes Q3 2025 sales came from general trade professionals (up 16%). This customer segment includes electricians, tile installers, and a wide array of others.

This growth was followed by increases for both homeowners (up 15.8%) and commercial professionals (up 92.4%). Commercial professionals are a similar segment to trade professionals but are differentiated by the fact that their projects are commercial spaces like retail or service providers. Commercial professionals generally have different primary products of focus with a greater tendency to work with our Slab Heating products in new construction projects.

Billen said that the secret to building lasting relationships with customers is two-fold.

“You have to provide them with value and you have to be trustworthy,” said Billen. “So your products and your services have to be absolutely dialed in, but almost more importantly, can they rely on you? Are you going to pick up the phone at 3 a.m. because they need your help? Are you going to get them their product on time? Are you going to be there with them every step of the way? Because we will be.”

The National Housing and Remodeling Markets in Q3 2025

The national housing market demonstrated continued resilience in the third quarter of 2025, with price appreciation occurring in 77% of metro areas across the U.S.. The national median single-family existing-home price grew by 1.7% year-over-year to $426,800, continuing the upward trajectory seen in the previous quarter. Price appreciation was particularly strong in the supply-constrained Northeast and the more affordable Midwest.

As NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun observed, "Home sales have struggled to gain traction, but prices continue to rise, contributing to record-high housing wealth". This stability in housing equity provides a solid foundation for the remodeling sector.

Looking ahead, the remodeling market is expected to follow a path of slow, steady growth. The Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA) from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University projects that year-over-year spending on home improvement and repair will increase by 2.4 percent in early 2026, before moderating to 1.9 percent by the third quarter of that year. This consistent, albeit modest, pace is expected to push total homeowner remodeling spending to a new record high of $524 billion in early 2026.

The program’s Director, Rachel Bogardus Drew, suggests that "Upward trends in both remodeling permit activity and single-family home sales suggest that demand for home improvement will remain stable in the coming year".

However, the outlook remains cautious due to "sluggish housing starts and uncertainty in the broader economy," which are creating "headwinds to larger gains in renovation and repair spending"

WarmlyYours expects to see continued growth in the Great Lakes region, particularly in snow melt sales if the current winter projections hold. We also expect to see continued sales growth for floor heating products in Q4 2025, specifically in our TempZone Floor Heating Ruler Cable, a pro-exclusive heating element.
