Why use a purpose-designed heater for a stone countertop?

How FeelsWarm countertop heating differs from a floor-heating installation.

Use a heater designed for the countertop and its installation method. FeelsWarm stick-on heaters attach to the underside of a stone countertop; they are designed to warm the contact area gradually, rather than heat a room.

The FeelsWarm stick-on manual specifies low-voltage 9–24 V DC operation and a target of approximately 20°F above room temperature. It says the stone can take up to 90 minutes to reach its stable temperature. Only the area over the mat is warmed effectively.

Do not substitute a floor-heating mat unless its manufacturer explicitly approves that countertop application. FeelsWarm’s technical explanation identifies uneven heating and temperature cycling as concerns when floor-heating products are repurposed for stone counters.

Follow the heater’s surface-preparation, mounting and power-supply instructions, and confirm compatibility with the countertop material and construction.
