nJoy display shows the setpoint instead of the current temperature

Select Actual temperature under the thermostat’s Display info setting.

The nJoy UWG5 manual describes the normal temperature adjustment this way: after you change the setpoint with the arrows, the number blinks three times and the display returns to the measured temperature. The setpoint is the temperature you request; the measured temperature is what the selected sensor currently detects.

To check the display selection in the app:

  1. Open the intended thermostat and its Settings screen.
  2. Select Manage thermostat.
  3. Under Display settings, open Display info.
  4. Select Actual temperature, then return to the thermostat screen and check the display.

OJ’s own UWG5 app demonstration shows the Manage thermostat screen with Display info set to Actual temperature. Do not use a count of fewer than three blinks alone to diagnose a faulty sensor or thermostat, and do not factory-reset the unit just to change this display option.
