Our recently upgraded custom-sized electric heating mats arrive in one piece, making for a fast, simple installation — you don't have to make any cuts or trims. TempZone™ Custom Mats are commonly used beneath tile or stone flooring. These floor mats provide 12-15 watts/sq. ft., depending on the room size, and evenly distribute heat for full room coverage.

No, TempZone™ Custom Mats provide the easiest installation with no cut and turns required as they are specifically designed and built based on the dimensions of your project that you've provided to us. The mats provide between 12 and 15 watts per sq. ft. (depending on room size). They are designed to distribute heat evenly for full room coverage.

TempZone Custom Mats are designed for installation under tile, natural stone, and nailed hardwood floors. The heating cable must be fully embedded in modified thinset or self-leveling underlayment before the final flooring is installed to ensure proper heat distribution and protection.

TempZone Custom Mats feature a cold lead that connects directly to your thermostat. The mat must be wired to a dedicated circuit. Multiple mats can be wired in parallel to a single thermostat, provided the total amperage does not exceed the thermostat’s limit (typically 15 amps). Always consult a licensed electrician and refer to the wiring diagram.

To order a TempZone Custom Mat, provide a detailed floor plan of your room, including exact dimensions and the locations of any permanent fixtures (like vanities, toilets, or tubs). You can submit your drawing online or send it to our team. We will then create a custom SmartPlan showing exactly how the mat will be manufactured to fit your space perfectly.

Once your custom SmartPlan is approved, it typically takes just 1 to 2 business days to manufacture your TempZone Custom Mat. After manufacturing is complete, the mat is shipped directly to your location, ensuring you can proceed with your floor heating installation without delay.

No, a TempZone Custom Mat cannot be cut or altered on-site. The heating cable is factory-installed and precisely spaced to fit the exact dimensions of your approved SmartPlan. Cutting the heating cable will damage the system and void the warranty. If your room dimensions change, please contact us immediately before installation.
