TempZone Flex Roll Floor Heating Installation with Self-Leveling Underlayment Crystal Lake, Illinois

This video shows how our TempZone Flex Roll floor heating system is installed under self leveling underlayment and tile. Embedding the heating element beneath the tile floor helps protect the cable while evenly distributing the radiant heat.

Every project starts with a free SmartPlan design from our engineers, outlining the installation layout for the heating mat. After testing the heating system with a digital ohmmeter, the circuit checks are connected.

Following the SmartPlan provided, the heating mats are unrolled, cut, and turned. Mats are secured in place with staples or tape to the subfloor - this will help prevent any floating once the self leveling underlayment is poured.

Wait for the underlyament to cure before tiling over. The thermostat can then be connected and installed where indicated on the SmartPlan. Ensure tile floor thinset and grout are cured before powering on the system.
