Check whether the roof profile can securely accept the specified attachment system.
WarmlyYours does not recommend its standard pad-and-clip roof-deicing installation on ribbed or corrugated metal roofs when the profile prevents full contact and secure attachment. Do not bridge the ribs with adhesive pads or assume a clip intended for a flat contact surface will hold.
A suitable standing-seam roof can use a designed self-regulating cable installation, but the roof profile, material, seam spacing and attachment method must be checked together. The ET-SR manual includes metal-roof layouts; it does not approve every metal panel or every adhesive.
Provide the roof profile and overhang details when requesting a WarmlyYours layout so the cable routing and mounting hardware can be specified. The constant-wattage shingle-kit layout is not a substitute for the self-regulating metal-roof design.
