The horizontal base and uphill height are different dimensions.
For the WarmlyYours constant-wattage roof/gutter kit, the manual shows a 15-inch triangle base for the standard shingle layout. The triangle height depends on the overhang and must extend into the warm roof area; use the manual’s overhang table.
WarmlyYours self-regulating cable guidance gives 24 inches for standard roof-edge triangle spacing. Do not apply that as a universal metal-roof dimension: the ET-SR manual separately shows metal-roof layouts for 18- and 24-inch spacing and gives heights based on the overhang.
Use the layout for the actual cable, roof profile and overhang. Base width is not triangle height, and roof-edge spacing is not the spacing used in every gutter, valley or downspout detail.
