Complete initial setup of the nJoy UWG5-4999 thermostat using its screen and buttons.
The thermostat can complete initial setup without the app. Creating or editing a heating schedule requires the nJoy app over Bluetooth or WiFi.
With the thermostat powered on, press the center select/accept area to start the wizard. Use the arrows to change a value and the select/accept button to confirm it.
- UN — Unit: choose Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius (C).
- SE — Sensor: choose the mode specified for your installation. F uses the floor sensor; RF uses the room sensor with floor-temperature protection; R uses the room sensor. Floor protection operates only in F and RF modes. Do not choose Room mode as a way to bypass a floor-sensor fault or a required floor-temperature limit.
- Ti — Time: set the hour and minutes. The clock uses a 12-hour format; the upper dot indicates AM and the lower dot PM.
- PR — Protection: for a mode using floor protection, choose the installed floor type: W (wood), L (laminate), or T (tile). Confirm that the protection settings meet the flooring manufacturer’s requirements.
- TE — GFCI test: press and release the top test button. After the GFCI trips, press and release the lower right-side button to reset it.
The thermostat then saves the settings. To adjust the temperature, wake the screen and use the arrows. An orange indicator shows a demand for heat. If the GFCI test or reset fails, contact your installer or WarmlyYours Technical Support.
