The original Victorian architecture of this San Francisco home concealed an interior that design innovators aimed to reinvent with a bold, modern aesthetic. The master bathroom was a focal point of this remodel, featuring expansive tile surfaces, custom marble vanities, a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub. However, high-end tile inherently retains the damp, chilly microclimate of Northern California, making winter and coastal mornings shockingly cold underfoot.
The Solution
To bridge the gap between high design and physical comfort, the design team seamlessly integrated a hidden floor warming solution. They chose the TempZone™ Flex Roll system, laying it beneath the tile flooring across the main bathroom and directly inside the walk-in shower. To complete the spa-like experience, two hardwired, polished stainless steel Sierra towel warmers were added to the walls, adding a touch of classic luxury while ensuring warm, dry towels were always on hand.

The outcome is a striking, high-performance retreat where modern luxury meets efficient operation. Controlled by an intelligent SmartStat programmable thermostat, the in-floor heating delivers consistent, radiant comfort right where it is needed most.
