A general uncoupling-membrane adhesive rating is not approval for every membrane.
ARDEX describes AF 207 as an adhesive for approved uncoupling membranes. Its technical data does not name every membrane as compatible. The previous article’s undocumented “Progress says yes” is not a complete installation specification.
Use the Prodeso manual’s substrate-specific mortar requirements unless you have written approval covering AF 207, the exact Prodeso membrane and the project substrate. For example, the Prodeso manual calls for latex-modified Portland cement mortar meeting ANSI A118.11 over plywood/OSB. Do not assume a premixed adhesive is interchangeable with that mortar.
If AF 207 is approved for the assembly, follow its own conditions too: the reviewed data sheet limits radiant-heated subfloors to 85°F (29.4°C) and requires heat off for at least 48 hours before and after installation. It is a membrane-bonding adhesive, not a substitute for the specified tile-setting mortar.
