I have too much heating roll, can I shorten the heating wire or heating roll?

No. Never cut the heating cable. The floor heating cable is designed with a very specific resistance in order to consistently maintain heating at a specific wattage per square foot. Trimming the heating cable lowers the resistance of the cable causing the system to overheat.  WarmlyYours recommends obtaining a complimentary SmartPlan™ Floor Heating Installation Plan to assure a good installation.

How do I work with my electrician to install WarmlyYours electric floor heating?

While WarmlyYours electric radiant floor heating systems are typically installed by your floor covering contractor, a licensed electrician is recommended for the final thermostat hook-up. With every quote, we provide an Installation Plan layout, together with an electrical plan that has all the info required for the electrician.

Is electric floor heating safe and what about EMF?

Our electric radiant floor heating systems have withstood rigorous safety testing and earned the UL listing. They produce much less EMF than common household appliances like your TV or vacuum cleaner. The EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) tests all electrical devices and publishes the data. Many common household appliances are tested at a distance of 6 inches. The test results indicate that on average, the EMF emitted for the following appliances, measured in Milligauss (mG) units, is:

Vacuum Cleaner: 300 mG

Microwave: 200 mG

Portable Heater: 100 mG

Dishwasher: 20 mG

Washing Machine: 20 mG

WarmlyYours TempZone™ (Twin): 1.8 mG

We also have our Environ system, which is an electric floor heating product as well and is specially designed for installation under carpet (in the U.S. only), laminate and floating wood. Great Product - Warm Floor!

Anonymous, Zionsville, IN on 12/29/2022

Ordered 90’ roll operating at 240 Volts. Sales support on ordering was great, they provided a layout that I could prep the electrical and sensors location for during construction. Product arrived on-time. Contacted support during install for help with ohm meter check. Installation was easy and I highly recommend the single roll with one (1) power connection to your thermostat. I installed another floor heating system that needed six (6) pads with cables all running to the T stat and it took a lot more time. My installation was as follows: 3/4” T&G subfloor, 2mm foam underlayment, Environ Flex Roll heating pad, Pergo portfolio wetprotect 10mm flooring. I did have to notch out the subfloor for the temperature sensors, I put in a spare, and the power lead in wire that runs about half way into the foil at the start. Another area I had to notch the subfloor was at the termination or end of the roll. The heating cable terminates in a connector that needs to be notched. If you buy the underlayment from WarmlyYours you will notch that instead of subfloor. Performance: installed fall of 2022. Christmas 2022 saw temperatures of -10 degrees F for three days straight with 35MPH wind. Room was comfortable all the time! The product works and provides even heat throughout the floor. It is great to lay on when it is freezing outside! The room we installed it in has windows on three sides so it really takes the brunt of the winter weather. Thank you WarmlyYours for a great product!

I’ve been trying to find an easy way to warm up my son’s bedroom above garage, when I came across WarmlyYours. The radiant heating system was designed by WarmlyYours and installed underneath our new carpet. The whole process was great. We couldn’t be happier. It looks and works great. Thank you.

Excellent, as always

Bernadette S., Beaverton, OR on 04/19/2022

We just moved into a 1965 Daylight Ranch near Portland, OR, and the walk-out basement is where my daughter has her bedroom. Since it's on a concrete slab, with a concrete wall on one side, the room was always a bit on the chilly side, and just the slightest bit of dampness in the air. We decided to install the WarmlyYours Environ Flex Roll, as we had done in 2008 back in our home in NY. Back then, it was installed under a travertine tile kitchen floor, and it ended up being a major selling point. The system is easy to install, as there is a layout diagram and complete instructions included. The electricians who came to install the new line and breaker for the floor were so impressed, I believe they are planning a similar installation in their homes. My daughter's bedroom is now cozy and there's no slight dampness anymore. When we remodel the kitchen here, we will absolutely install a WarmlyYours floor heating system.

Great product!

Fantastic Customer Service!

Paul S., Seattle, WA on 02/14/2022

We were replacing a very old heat pad under a high traffic carpet. This was not a large purchase, but the customer service we received from Jenn and the team was great. You would have thought order was 10x! Just got it installed last week under new carpet and back in my office cozy and warm.

Easy to install, works well

Bill H., Winchester Center, CT on 02/11/2022
