Project Information:

The primary challenge was to effectively and efficiently heat a spacious 510 sq.ft. dining room. Traditional heating methods often struggle with large rooms with hard flooring surfaces, leading to cold spots and uneven temperatures. The goal was to provide full floor coverage with a silent, invisible, and energy-efficient heating solution.

The Solution: A Custom TempZone™ System

A custom-designed electric radiant heating system was the perfect solution.

  • Heating System: TempZone™ Flex Rolls were selected for their ease of installation and ability to provide consistent heat across a large area. A total of 414 sq.ft. was heated using three separate rolls to perfectly fit the room's layout.
  • Power and Efficiency: The 240V system was engineered to efficiently power the large floor, drawing 26 amps. Despite its size, the system is incredibly economical to run, with an estimated operating cost of just $0.28 per hour.
  • Smart Control: An nSpire Touch Programmable Thermostat provides complete control over the heating schedule, allowing for maximum comfort and energy savings. To handle the electrical load safely, two nJoin Power Modules were integrated into the system.
