A Living Room Floor Warming Upgrade
The primary challenge in this North Providence, RI home was the naturally cold feel of the tile, marble, or stone flooring in the main Family Room. Stone and ceramic surfaces are durable and stylish but are notorious for drawing heat away, creating an uninviting space, particularly during the lengthy New England cold seasons.
To solve this, WarmlyYours designed a custom TempZone™ Flex Roll system, which was perfectly sized to heat 180 square feet of the 233 sq. ft. room. The electric in-floor heating system was chosen for its minimal floor elevation impact and its efficiency in heating dense flooring materials like tile and stone. The TempZone™ Flex Roll allows for fast, simple installation, often minimizing contractor time.
The heating elements were embedded directly beneath the flooring material, and the system was connected to a SmartStat Programmable Thermostat for precision control. This solution not only eradicated the cold floors but also acts as an energy-efficient radiant floor heating system, providing comfortable ambient heat for the entire room. Tricia Fabrizio now enjoys a comfortable, luxurious, and highly functional family gathering space, proving that even a large room with cold flooring can be transformed with targeted electric floor heating.
