To achieve even and consistent heat, this project utilized a system of heating mats paired with a modern smart thermostat.
Heating System: TempZone™ Flex Rolls The primary heating element is the TempZone™ Flex Roll, a versatile electric underfloor heating system. For this 162 sq. ft. room, a total of 111 sq. ft. of heating rolls were used to provide full coverage in the open, trafficable areas. These rolls consist of a durable heating cable pre-attached to a mesh, allowing for quick and straightforward installation over the wood subfloor before the tile was laid.
Control System: nSpire Touch WiFi Thermostat To provide ultimate control and energy efficiency, the system is operated by the nSpire Touch WiFi thermostat. This programmable thermostat not only allows the homeowners to set a custom heating schedule but also offers Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control via a smartphone. It uses an included floor sensor to ensure the tile surface is always at the perfect temperature, providing precise and comfortable radiant heat exactly when it's needed.
