This project transformed a stunning high-altitude home in Copper Mountain, CO, by integrating electric radiant floor heating into the main living areas and a master bath. Eliminating the Chill with Zoned Floor Warming
The homeowners of this mountain remodel sought a comprehensive solution for their new tile floors, which often feel frigid, especially in a high-altitude climate. The solution couldn't be a one-size-fits-all approach; it needed to provide tailored, energy-efficient comfort for two very different spaces: a large, open-plan kitchen and living area, and the intimate master bathroom.
The installer, Rest Assured, LLC, chose TempZone™ electric radiant floor heating for its versatility and proven reliability under tile. A multi-zone system was designed for maximum control and efficiency. The large 285 sq. ft. kitchen/living area received a powerful 240V system using TempZone™ Flex Rolls for robust, wall-to-wall coverage. In contrast, the smaller 57 sq. ft. master bathroom and closet were outfitted with a 120V system to create a focused, spa-like experience.
The outcome is a home where every step on the cold tile is transformed into a comfortable experience. Both heating zones are managed independently by an nSpire Touch WiFi Programmable Thermostat, allowing the homeowners to precisely schedule and control the in-floor heating from anywhere, ensuring both optimal comfort and energy efficient heating.
